Jade is a San Francisco-based songwriter, singer, and multi-instrumentalist.
Now: Jade plays in several original bands in SF and the East Bay, bringing contributions with songwriting, vocals, bass, drums, and occasionally piano and other percussion. She loves to write music, perform, tour, and record with dedicated and collaborative musicians who want to create awesome live shows and compelling new music.
Rock & Roll: At 14, she picked up the bass, started writing rock music, and formed garage, punk, and ska bands. After moving to San Francisco in her 20s, Jade quickly found a place in the music community, singing, writing music, and playing bass and drums in indie rock and power-pop bands. She has since ventured into other genres as well, like Americana and folk.
The Way Back: Jade began exploring music at age 4, learning classical pieces on violin, eventually serving as first chair for her youth orchestra. Later, she sang genres ranging from jazz to madrigals in school choirs, performed in musicals, and dabbled with piano. Although she loves all genres of music, her heart is with rock & roll, oldies, soul, and classical violin.
